These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Reverie Journal application (the "App") provided by the Reverie Team ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial journaling and wellness purposes on devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms.

2. Data Responsibility & Loss

Reverie is designed to store your journal entries locally on your device and optionally sync them via iCloud. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data. While we strive to provide a reliable journaling experience, we are not liable for any loss of journal entries, photos, audio, or other data due to device failure, software bugs, accidental deletion, or iCloud synchronization issues.

3. Reverie Plus (Premium Features)

The App offers a premium tier ("Reverie Plus") which unlocks additional features through an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.

• Payment & Processing: All payments are processed securely by Apple through your App Store account.
• Subscriptions: If you purchase a subscription, it will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time by going to your iOS Account Settings after purchase. Deleting the App will not automatically cancel your subscription.
• Refunds: Since payments are handled directly by Apple, any requests for refunds must be directed to Apple Support.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Attempt to bypass or circumvent the App's premium access validation or security features (such as Face ID/Passcode locks).
• Use the App to store or process illegal material, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
• Copy, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the App's design, code, or content without our written permission.

5. Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App, or to change these Terms at any time. We may occasionally add or remove features to improve the journaling experience. Your continued use of the App following any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be completely error-free or that it will meet your specific requirements.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Reverie Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to data loss or emotional distress related to lost journal entries.
