Pawfolio: Pet Health Records ("Pawfolio," "we," "our," or "us") is designed to help you privately organize your pet's health records. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Pawfolio application (the "App").

1. Information Stored or Processed

Depending on how you use the App, the following information may be stored or processed:

• Pet profile data: pet name, species, breed, sex, birthday, weight, photo, microchip details, and care notes you choose to enter.
• Health record data: vaccines, medications, vet visits, symptoms, weight logs, preventive care, expenses, documents, reminders, and related notes.
• Settings and preferences: app language, reminder settings, privacy settings, iCloud sync preference, and app lock preference.
• Purchase status: subscription or premium unlock state provided by Apple StoreKit. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
• Notification permission state: whether pet care reminders are enabled on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

• Provide pet health record keeping, reminders, document storage, summaries, and exports.
• Keep records organized by pet and personalize the App based on your settings.
• Maintain premium access and restore eligible purchases.
• Respond to support requests and user feedback.

3. Pet Health Information

The App is a record-keeping tool for pet owners. It is not a veterinary medical device, does not diagnose conditions, and does not replace advice from a licensed veterinarian. Always confirm important health decisions, medication doses, vaccine schedules, and due dates with your veterinarian.

4. On-Device Health Assistant

The optional Health Assistant uses Apple's Foundation Models framework and Apple's on-device system language model. It processes the pet name, symptom categories you select, owner-rated severity, duration, emergency warning signs, optional owner notes, and the App's deterministic triage recommendation solely on your device.

Health Assistant inputs and responses are not sent to the developer, any cloud AI service, or any third party for AI processing, and are not used for training. If Apple's on-device model is unavailable, the App generates a deterministic local summary instead. If you explicitly save a summary to the journal and enable iCloud sync, that saved record may sync through your private Apple iCloud account.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information, use third-party AI services, or share pet records with the developer or third parties. The App interacts with Apple services only in these circumstances:

• Apple StoreKit provides purchase and subscription entitlement status.
• If you enable iCloud sync, records sync through your private Apple iCloud account.
• When required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights and users.

6. Data Storage and Security

Pet records are primarily stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your data may sync through your personal iCloud account using Apple's services. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Choices

You can change app settings, notification permissions, and device permissions at any time through the App or your device settings. You can also edit or delete pet records in the App where supported.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with the latest update date.
