These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Home Inventory Tracker application (the "App") provided by Home Inventory Tracker ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial home inventory, document organization, insurance readiness, reporting, backup, and reminder purposes on devices you own or control.

2. Inventory and Insurance Disclaimer

The App helps you organize home inventory records, photos, documents, reminders, reports, and backup files. It does not provide insurance, legal, tax, appraisal, or financial advice. You are responsible for verifying item values, policy coverage, documentation requirements, and any information you provide to insurers or other third parties.

3. Premium Access and Purchases

Some features, including advanced inventory tools, expanded document storage, PDF export, sharing, reports, backup features, or other premium functionality, may require a premium purchase or subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscription availability, price, trial eligibility, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules are managed by Apple and may vary by region.

If a subscription is offered, it may automatically renew unless canceled through your Apple account settings before the renewal date. Deleting the App does not automatically cancel a subscription.

4. Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Use the App for illegal, fraudulent, unsafe, or unauthorized purposes.
• Circumvent premium access, purchase validation, or app security controls.
• Copy, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the App content or generated reports without permission, except for your own personal inventory use.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation.

5. User Responsibility

You are responsible for your use of the App, the accuracy of inventory records, the sensitivity of files you add, device settings, backup passphrases, iCloud settings, and compliance with applicable laws. You should keep independent copies of important records and documents.

6. Updates and Changes

We may update the App, add or remove features, change content, or modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will meet every requirement, be uninterrupted, error-free, preserve every file in every circumstance, or produce specific insurance, claim, appraisal, or financial outcomes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including data loss, missing documents, insurance claim issues, valuation disputes, subscription issues, backup passphrase loss, iCloud issues, or device problems.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms or use the App in a harmful or unauthorized way.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
